I’ve been working as a freelance editor for several years now. I’ve done developmental editing on a number of books, articles, and reports, and am available to work as a copy editor, proofreader, and fact-checker as well.

My own writing has appeared in scholarly and popular venues ranging from the Chronicle of Higher Education to Rolling Stone, and my academic training comes in handy with a broad variety of projects—in just the last year I have helped to edit books on topics that have included history, biography, memoir, media criticism, art, architecture, photography, design, fashion, cooking, and crafts. Because I live in New York City and have a flexible work schedule, editors often rely on me for projects that require a quick turnaround.
